I can't believe my "baby" is two years old today! Are you kidding? We had our party with our family the weekend before.
Let's see what's going on in Briley's world these days:
Our BIGGEST milestone is that we are now officially potty trained! No more diapers/pull ups. I don't know who is more excited - mom without the diaper expense or Briley because she gets to wear Elmo and Barbie panties! We've also had to adjust her wardrobe a bit. With no diaper, all her size 2 pants seem to fall down if she gets really active and runs and jumps! :-O
Oh my, so many things to say. She knows the letter "B" and that's all she wants to "write". She can count 1, 2, 3. Finally she can tell you she's two. She's being saying that she's two forever. Now, it's true!
Major mommy's girl. I have to sneak off if I need to run some errands or leave the house without her. Went for a walk around the block with Paityn today and came back to find Brad holding her and she was still crying and red faced! She doesn't do this at daycare though!
She talks almost nonstop and can say just about anything. Still skips the "s" in her ABC's. Just doesn't want to say that one! I still LOVE to hear her babble on and on and talk her baby jibberish though. Sometimes she'll talk for minutes and you can't understand one word but she sure knows what she's talking about.
She's VERY independent. Feeds herself, drinks from a big cup or can without straws or the sippie.
LOVES painted, pink toenails.
Cries if you put a band-aide on her but always wants one until it's finally on. Then she loses it. Tears and all and says "off, mommy!" Paityn used to, and still does wear them like they are stickers and decoration!
HATES, HATES, HATES shots. Getting better though! Now she doesn't climb me when she sees the needle coming!
Favorite foods are probably yogurt, ice cream, and yes, still french fries! Still a very picky eater. Favorite drink chocolate milk or sprite.
She LOVES her big sister Paityn and tries to imitate EVERYTHING Paityn does - including dressing herself and combing her hair! She also loves the towel wrap thing we do with wet hair - only because Paityn does it and she wants to follow along. Scares me a little -she wants to do everything she sees someone else doing.
She's my little daredevil! Has no fear. Climbs in and out of the trampoline all by herself. Jumps off things (i.e. coffee table, bed) no matter how high!
She also chooses to ignore me if she doesn't want to hear what I'm saying. If I say "no" and she wants to do it anyway. She usually does and then just boohoos when I discipline her! Oh she gets so mad. Has just started saying "no, no mommy" all while crying! We're working to correct that! :-o
Favorite book: Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See
Favorite movie: Kung Fu Panda - hence her birthday theme
Techno Kid! She totally operates my iPhone all by herself - just to listen to the iTunes. She knows the "orange button" and can get into the song menu and find apparently her favorite songs - Kid Rock, All Summer Long AND Taylor Swift, Our Song. You can change it, she gets all fired up and says "my phone" and takes it back and gets it back on these songs!
I know I'm forgetting things but since this is my new "baby book" I wanted to include lots of my thoughts and memories about my Briely.
She is a cutie pie and I can sum her up with ADORABLE, MOMMY'S GIRL, SWEET, CUTE w/just a little bit of "I want things my way" hid underneath! :-)
LOVED opening the cards the most! She didn't care if anything was inside, she just wanted to open them and wanted me to read them!
Kung Fu Panda cake by MOM
See what I mean-she got "busted" sticking her finger in the cake but you can see that "I know you see me but I'm so darn cute I know I'm not going to get in trouble" look on her face! And it's true! She is a character and does things to get a laugh from people! She puts her panties on her head and just lauaghs!
Here's Briley's "big gift from dad".If you know dad, we don't do anything small! She begins by sitting on the WHEEL!
Dad helps her up.
And we're off to the races! Most kids (Paityn did) would let off the pedal or freak out when this four wheeler took off at 100 miles an hour but NOT BRILEY! The smile never left her face and it was full speed ahead! The most fun was trying to run over people! Crazy girl!
See the wind blowing her hair. I'm telling you - wide open and full speed ahead at all times!
The next day after the party, Paityn and Briley had fun running through the balloon strings. I think they did this forever and just laughed and laughed. I loved watching them play together! Paityn is a GREAT big sister!

I get more and more impressed with her independance and daredevil nature. However, it does scare me to wait and see how our girls will turn out!!! We love you guys and can't wait to see you.
