Happy Birthday Briley!!!!!!

3 years old already - are you kidding? Where has the time gone? Here are just a few pics of our family gathering to celebrate! Although her "actual" birthday is still just a few days away, we decided to party today and leave next weekend for Easter celebrations. Enjoy!

I'm listening intently as Briley instructs me on exactly what to do! She's such a "tell it like it is" kind of girl! And I'm like "seriously"? I give up! :-0 And look at her face - "yep - that's what I want and don't think I'm gonna change my mind!" I love her personality!
Ready to blow out the candles on her cupcake - mom is way too big and too tired to go all out on a cake this year but I'll make up for it! Promise!
Opening presents! :-)
I think it's safe to say that her new bike was a HUGE hit! She rode it all through the house since the weather did not cooperate and it was very wet and rainy outside!
And after all was said and done and almost everyone was gone and clean up nearly complete, Briley was ready to spend the night with Granny and Grandpa since Pai and I have SCHOOL for 2 days of our spring break. Briley has all the essentials - balloons from the party, her goodie bag from the party, and oh yeah - her BIKE. Yes, she took her new bike to granny's to ride in the house. She is so funny! And don't think you were gonna talk her out of it! Not even an option!

First Haircut!!

Here's Alyce!!! She had her first haircut at Animal Hospital and the groomer kept saying how SWEET she was during the whole thing. We do love our newest family member - now 5 months old. :-)

My so "grown-up" helpers!!

Well, with all the snow days we got this week, I hit my "nesting" mode full force. Not only did I clean out EVERY closet in my house but also rented a rug doctor and shampooed every rug, put up new shades to block out the sun, bleached the bathrooms and utility room, bought new furniture for the girls' room, and went shopping for a few much needed baby items!!! Whew! I'm just a lil tired!

Here are a few pics of the girls HAMMERING and of Paityn using a cordless screwdriver to put a dresser together for baby Keegan! This brought back so many memories of me helping my dad when I was little. He was helping put the dresser together and asked the girls to help. Of course I thought they were "too little." WHAT?? They did a fantastic job and the dresser looks great. Keegan's essentials are ready to be put in the dresser drawers. :-) Enjoy! AND THANKS DAD (aka GRANDPA to the girls)!!!!

Prayer Request

Please pray for my VERY dear friend and her family as they are facing a very difficult time. Her baby boy, Hayden, was born with a pulmonary problem that is effecting his breathing and has been in the NICU at Kosair Chilren's Hospital. I had the chance to visit on Saturday, Feb. 6th, and Hayden is taking baby steps to improvement but remains on the ventilater. Please pray for his health and for them to be able to come home soon. Shawna has yet to hold her baby boy in her arms and I can't imagine how that must feel - watching and waiting.
Here is their link to caringbridge so that you, too, may keep up with his progress.

She's at it again!!

If you don't remember, I posted a picture of Briley soon after she began walking where she climbed this exact same ladder when it was in the garage. Well, we are currently in the process of doing some LONG-overdue painting around the house! Of course, Brad left the ladder out and who do you think went climbing up it without even blinking??? You guessed it - my lil daredevil Briley. And Paityn, bless her heart, is yelling "mom get her she's gonna fall!" After a little reassurance and getting close to prevent any wobbles Paityn decided to go on up and check out the scenery for herself.

I LOVE my "new" living room. Big thanks to Brad for working so hard on it all week. Previously, it was a pale yellow.

My Snow Angels!

Considering that we will probably be out of school today AND tomorrow - we took the whole day to PLAY!!! Well, we were in and out about a million times but it was fun. The first thing the girls did was to make snow angels. Briley got the leg thing down but could not get her arms to go the right way. It was hilarious. Of course, Paityn was a pro!
I know she blends in with the grass and snow but if you look close enough above you can see Alyce getting in on the fun. She lasted for a while but started shivering so we had to take her back inside. She was hopping around everywhere like a rabbit!
Briley could move her legs the right way for the snow angel but she kept doing her arms like a "karate chop." I laughed so hard I had tears! She was laughing too!
Briely's favorite thing to do was get on her hands and knees and act like a snow plow!
They also insisted on clearing the snow off daddy's trailor. That was an event in itself!

Happy New Year 2010

Here are just a few pics of the girls during Christmas. Enjoy! We wish everyone a new year of happiness and joy!

Briley was so funny - she never really understood that Santa would be bringing presents and never really asked for anything for Christmas BUT on Christmas morning she happily opened her gifts and after each one, she would clean up every scrap of paper before moving on to the next. She is so after my heart! HaHa! Paityn tore into everything with paper all over the place but her most favorite gift was Alyce who rarely leaves her side! They are so funny together. I LOVE watching them play and run through the house!
